Hip Hop

Kendra will lead a dance workshop under the Hip Hop Umbrella, focusing on foundational techniques, refining Hip Hop movement, and teaching choreography from her repertoire. With her unique approach tailored to students’ needs, the workshop promises to be educational, fun, and interactive. Attendees will leave equipped with a toolbox of skills and knowledge applicable to their careers.
BIOGRAPHY:
Luxembourg-born, London-based Kendra Horsburgh is an independent Movement architect, co-Founder and managing director of BirdGang Ltd, an award winning Hip-Hop theater company. Kendra has worked globally since 2005, with the mission to tell thought provoking stories through striking interactive experiences. She specializes in dance and immersive technology and is best known for her accessible work for stage, theater and film.
Kendra choreographed the award winning show ARTE:THE MOVING MASTERPIECE for Celebrity Cruises BEYOND and is the original associate choreographer for the 3 times Tony award winning Musical & JULIET (Shaftesbury Theatre UK). She created EVERLAND for ZOONATION YOUTH (Royal Opera House) and FAMILY (dys)FUNCTION for BIRDGANG LTD (Dance Umbrella & London Borough of Culture 23-24). She has worked on TV shows such as FLIRTY DANCING (Channel 4), BRING THE NOIZE (SKY), and was a finalist on GOT TO DANCE (SKY). Featured in films such as HARRY HILL and STREET DANCE 3D2, she has choreographed music videos “Busy Earnin” by JUNGLE and “Hold On” by INCOGNITO. Kendra’s movement direction can be seen on DYNAMO’s “The power of X” and THE PAIN KILLER by Kenneth Branagh (Garrick Theatre).
Fluent in four european languages, Kendra has choreographed for and worked on world tours such as the JUNGLE BOOK (UK tour), BLAZE THE DANCE SENSATION (Sydney Opera House Australia, Ductac theatre Dubai, Cultural Centre of Thailand Bangkok, National Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall Taiwan, Russia tour, Europe tour), as well as LIMITLESS for DIVERSITY (UK arena tour).
Her original work, “THE AVIARY” (The Grand Theatre Luxembourg, Sadlers Wells, Breakin’ Convention, Palace of fine arts San Francisco, Sri Lanka dance festival commissioned by the British Council), “MOVEMENT POETRY” (Neumunster, Luxembourg), and “NOX: EVIDENCE OF ABSENCE 360 VR” (Young Vic UK, 3CL LUXEMBOURG) are the fruit of her creative leadership and indicative of things to come.
